MAWADCO began in food and general commodity trading from its Doha base and has grown into a group active in precious minerals, copper-gold mining, and infrastructure-linked supply across five African markets. The engineering DNA still shapes every deal: document first, verify early, and move only when the workflow can withstand scrutiny from banks, suppliers, and end buyers.

Mawadco Africa Limited operates as the group's regional execution platform across Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, South Africa, and the DRC — covering mineral sourcing and offtake, agricultural commodity trade, pharmaceutical distribution, and logistics-led supply. It combines partner diligence, ground intelligence, and operating discipline to keep African corridors bankable for counterparties and investors.

What started as a single Doha desk expanded into an international network spanning Qatar, Philippines, Singapore, and Kenya. That network gives the Africa platform access to Gulf mineral buyers, Asia-facing trade structuring, and Southeast Asian procurement — so each of the five African market corridors is connected to a wider set of counterparties than a single-desk operation could reach.

Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Amoudi

Group Chairman

Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Amoudi is a Qatari engineer and QatarEnergy alumnus whose technical years inside Qatar's industrial core forged the conviction that shapes every Mawadco venture: audited workflows over assumption, and measured decisions over speed.

He founded Mawadco Trading Company in Doha in 2014 and grew it from a single desk into a multi-country group spanning Africa, Asia, and the Gulf — verified counterparties, documented workflows, and processes built to withstand scrutiny from banks, suppliers, and end buyers alike.

Beyond commerce, Ahmad serves as a Qatar Red Crescent Ambassador — civic leadership held to the same accountability as his commercial decisions. He also founded Cherry Beans Qatar, a hospitality brand shaped by the same principles of consistency and care.

Twelve years of building trade infrastructure that works — from the Gulf to Africa, the discipline is the same.

Head of Africa

As our Head of Africa, Pako PK. Joseph is a formidable force at the intersection of high finance and natural resources. A banker by foundational training with a BSc (Hons) in Business Intelligence, she brings over 15 years of distinguished experience across commercial banking, high net worth client management, and structured finance — spanning senior roles as Commercial Banker, High Net Worth Banker, and Structured Finance Specialist.

Her expertise extends well beyond the balance sheet: she has been a recognised specialist in the mineral trade since 2013, active in Gold, Diamonds, and Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) as well as broader mining operations, with a strong track record in fundraising and capital structuring for complex resource projects. She also serves as a board member of Mawadco, embedding strategic governance alongside her operational leadership.

Roxanne Delos Santos

Managing Partner

Roxanne Delos Santos holds a BS in Computer Engineering from FEU Philippines and brings over 16 years of hands-on experience across food, flowers, and global commodity trade — a career that began in Dubai's import-export corridors, where she built the perishable logistics expertise that underpins her commodity trade discipline today.

She drove the market entry routes, partnership scaffolding, and cross-border trade lanes that transformed a single Doha desk into a working global trader. As President and Co-Founder of Mawadco Trading Corporation OPC in the Philippines, she serves as managing partner across both the Qatar and Africa desks.

Her network spans producers and processors across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America — the connective tissue extending every Mawadco Africa transaction into a broader set of counterparties and markets.
